The task

The task was to develop a moulded fibre pad for the Bo Touch Bin waste bin from our customer Brabantia that meets the following requirements:

  • The waste bin and its hinged lid must be securely fixed during transport to prevent damage
  • All accessories should be clearly arranged so that the end customer can remove them easily
  • The operating instructions must be easy to find to ensure a good user experience

Our solution

The specially developed cast fibre pad ensures that the free-standing bin and the hinged lid are securely fixed in place and also provides a structured holder for accessories such as bags, feet and high legs. The clear positioning of the set items optimises the packaging process and makes handling easier. At the same time, packaging waste and other environmental impacts are minimised.
