The customer originally used elaborate corrugated cardboard folding and adhesive packaging. This solution was not only cost-intensive and space-consuming, but also impractical and regularly caused problems in production.
Our task was to develop an environmentally friendly packaging solution that:
- maximises product protection of the drive unit with sensors
- minimises the space required in the warehouse and production line
- optimises handling in the packaging process
Our solution
The newly developed fibre-cast packaging consists of a lower shell and two precisely fitting upper sections. This clever design guarantees
- Maximum product safety: The stairlift motor and all its sensitive areas, such as the emergency stop switch and the thread contacts, are securely fixed and protected from strain.
- Easy handling: The practical division into a lower shell and two upper parts makes it easier to insert and remove the motor.
- Space-saving design: The packaging significantly reduces the space required both in storage and in production.
