Thanks to targeted geometries, our moulded fibre parts adapt precisely to your product and hold it in place. Multi-contours in a moulded fibre part reduce the packaging variance, while at the same time packaging sizes can be optimised and variants reduced. Products packaged in fibre castings can be packed and unpacked more easily and quickly without creating unnecessary packaging material. After use, fibre castings as packaging padding can simply be returned to the recycling cycle together with the outer carton. Recycling as a cornerstone.
buhl-paperform's commitment to sustainability is also reflected in our choice of raw materials. We use up to 100% recycled paper in the production of our packaging solutions. This approach reduces our dependence on virgin fibres and promotes the use of the material cycle in waste paper recycling. We obtain our raw materials from regional sources, for example from supermarket chains, in order to reduce and shorten transport routes and save CO2. Our fibre castings are therefore not only functional, but also represent your sustainable statement for the protection of our shared planet.
Our sustainable production processes.
In the production of our moulded fibre parts, we attach great importance to the responsible use of resources. Our production processes are characterised by measures to minimise water consumption, including separators and a closed water cycle. Vaporised water is recycled to protect the environment. Our highly efficient production machines optimise energy consumption through heat recovery and the use of heat exchangers.
Another focus is on reducing energy consumption and the associated CO2 emissions. Here we rely on energy-efficient technologies and the increased use of renewable energies in order to minimise our ecological footprint. Our energy supply is already CO2-neutral.
More efficiency in transport and storage.
The sustainability of our fibre castings extends beyond production. Due to their unique nature, they can be nested inside each other and therefore require less space compared to other three-dimensionally moulded packaging. This space saving has a positive effect on the efficiency of transport and storage. Fibre castings can be packed on pallets to save space, which means that a greater number can be accommodated. More units can be transported and storage space is saved, which in turn has a positive effect on environmental impact and cost-effectiveness.
