The task

Our customer, TECE GmbH, was looking for ecological packaging for two different ceramic shower toilet models: the tried-and-tested TECEone product and the newer TECEneo model. The packaging not only had to protect both products equally, but also offer an environmentally friendly alternative to EPS packaging.

The requirements

Secure protection: Development of a fibre-cast packaging (upper and lower part) that securely protects both toilet models.
Assembly aid: The individual product packaging should be designed in such a way that the fibre-cast lower section can also be used as an assembly aid for the 23 kg toilet.
Integrated accessory holder: The accessories should be able to be safely stowed away in the fibre-cast upper part.
Optimum logistics: Consideration of a specially shaped outer box to maximise pallet utilisation and optimise transport packaging.

Our solution

The result is an ecological packaging solution that protects both toilet models equally, makes the assembly process considerably easier, offers an integrated accessory holder in the top section and also retains the specially shaped outer carton so that it can be seamlessly integrated into the logistics.

With a weight of around 23 kg, the handling of the product placed particular demands on the stability and functionality of the packaging. Our innovative NormTec technology enables us to achieve particularly high rigidity and stability under heavy loads.
