The third TOP100 Innovator Award for buhl-paperform

buhl-paperform has been honoured with the coveted Top Innovator Award for the third time! This outstanding recognition is not only a confirmation of our innovative strength, but also a consolidation of our position as a pioneer in the sustainable packaging industry.

We already received this prestigious award in 2016 and 2022, and in 2024 we are once again among the most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany. This not only underlines our consistent innovative strength, but also the continuity and reliability of our family business.

Our innovative strength was assessed by the renowned innovation researcher Prof Dr Nikolaus Franke and his team from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. More than 100 criteria from five categories were analysed, from innovative top management and innovation climate to external orientation and innovation success. The focus is not on individual innovations within the company, but on innovation management as a whole.

We are proud to say that we have once again fulfilled the various test criteria and made it into the selection of top innovators! Our commitment to innovation and growth manifests itself in forward-looking product design, climate-friendly production processes and long-term personnel development. Investing in a sustainable induction programme and regular training and further education measures are a matter of course for us.

The construction of the new production site in Kalteiche emphasises our willingness to open up new markets and expand the company. By expanding our development capacities by 9,500 square metres, we are making a clear commitment to high-quality, innovative and sustainable packaging materials. The doubling of our development capacity demonstrates our strong commitment to research and development in order to be able to present innovative solutions in the future. Our new production facility not only demonstrates our commitment to innovation in product design, but also in production processes. Utilising natural resources such as rain and drainage water, sun and wind on our innovative three-weather site and installing state-of-the-art machinery sets new standards in efficiency and energy saving.

Our founder and Managing Director, Christoph Buhl, sums up the company's vision: ‘For buhl-paperform, innovation means a mix of customised solutions, sustainable production, the latest technologies and continuous training for our highly qualified workforce. With over 20 million euros invested in property and technology, we are clearly committed to the prospect of sustainable packaging.’
