Packaging padding for vacuum cleaner

The task

Our customer previously sourced its protective padding from China but decided to optimise its supply chain by shortening transport routes. This strategic adjustment was used to modify the padding so that both types of device can now be efficiently protected with just one set of protective padding.

Our solution

Our packaging solution was developed to meet our customers' need for an efficient and cost-effective solution for storing and transporting vacuum cleaners and accessories. During development, two lower sections were reduced to just one. The upper section was replaced by a cost-effective corrugated cardboard insert that holds the accessories securely in place. Combining two base parts into one and integrating a corrugated cardboard insert for the accessories offers advantages in terms of storage and delivery.

In this case, the combination of moulded fiber and corrugated cardboard is the most economical solution, saving costs and offering impressive functionality.
