Working together for a sustainable future: buhl-paperform and the Burbach food bank against food waste
In a world where around 20 per cent of all food ends up in the bin, it is more important than ever to work together to combat this waste. At buhl-paperform, we firmly believe that acting sustainably is not only an obligation, but also a responsibility that extends far beyond the boundaries of our packaging solutions. With this in mind, we are delighted to announce a significant collaboration with Burbacher Tafel.
The Burbacher Tafel, an organisation that actively fights against food waste while supporting people in need, plays a crucial role in our community. The dedicated volunteers work hand in hand with retailers in Burbach and the surrounding area to collect food that can no longer be sold for various reasons. This food goes directly to those in need in our community, making a tangible impact on reducing food waste and helping those in need.
To support the important mission of the Burbach food bank, buhl-paperform has proudly donated a cold room. This cold room enables the quality of perishable food to be preserved until it is distributed. Not only will this reduce food waste, but more people in our region will receive the support they need. It's a small step, but a significant contribution to a more sustainable and socially responsible society.
At buhl-paperform, we believe in sustainable behaviour in all its facets. For us, sustainability and social responsibility are not just empty phrases, but are firmly anchored in our corporate philosophy. Our conviction goes beyond the production of sustainable moulded fibre packaging solutions - it extends to our active commitment to the communities in which we operate.
We firmly believe that collective efforts can make a positive difference. By working with the Burbach Food Bank, we want to help reduce food waste and ensure that more people receive the support they need. Our heartfelt thanks go to the Burbacher Tafel for their significant social contribution - together we are shaping a more sustainable future for all.
