The previous packaging solution consisted of an expanding foam (Instapack) that adapts to the shape of the item to be packaged for secure and customised cushioning. The challenge was to develop a more eco-friendly alternative that would protect the product just as effectively while reducing handling effort and costs.
Our solution
Our sustainable packaging concept consists of an identical upper and lower section in a monomaterial design that significantly reduces handling effort and costs. The molded fiber pads not only hold the brake boosters firmly in place, they also contribute to easy handling and optimum packaging density.
Our NormTec molded fiber products deliver impressive strength and stability, even in heavy duty use. This production process particularly focuses on the cushioning and protection functions. The geometry of the molded fiber products is precisely adapted to the contours of the respective product for reliable and effective protection.
