The task
Our task was to develop an environmentally friendly coffee grounds container that could be used once, was compostable and could be simply disposed of with organic waste by the end user.
Our solution
Our experts have developed an innovative solution that met the needs of our customers and is kind to the environment. Like all our molded fiber products, the compostable coffee grounds container is made from up to 100% recovered paper and represents a low-cost disposable solution. Not only does the container meet the legal requirements for compostability in organic waste, it also protects the coffee grounds from mould formation.
To ensure optimum handling in the packaging process and a precise fit, we used our PressTec technology in an additional process step – after-pressing – to smooth the packaging and produce its final form.
